Gas for the upcoming months became slightly cheaper. October decreased by around 2 euros to 85.3 €/MWh, and November became 1.5 euros cheaper, closing the week at 45.7 €/MWh.
CO2 prices remained relatively stable and have been fluctuating between 80 and 90 €/EUA for several months. Ultimately, CO2 was 10 cents cheaper at the end of the week, closing at 85.3 €/EUA.
The Dutch power contracts for the upcoming months saw slight declines. October decreased by approximately 3 euros to 96.7 €/MWh, while November decreased by 1 euro to 122.8 €/MWh.

It became evident once again that France has no intention of deviating from its plans to rely on nuclear energy in the future. At the European level, the country faces resistance concerning future policies and legislation related to nuclear energy, primarily from Germany. President Macron stated a week earlier that it would be a significant mistake not to invest in nuclear energy. German Chancellor Scholz also commented on nuclear energy last week in an interview, stating that it is no longer an option in Germany.
For next year, the gas price increased slightly. TTF closed around 50 cents higher at 52.5 €/MWh. CO2 closed at 89.5 €/EUA, remaining at a similar level to the previous week.
The CAL-24 contract for Dutch power also closed at a similar level to the previous week, ending last week at 124.7 €/MWh.
